We Wish You a Merry Chris, And A Happy July 1st!

Christopher and some friends from high school used to celebrate the 25th of June as the half way point to Christmas, a holiday which they liked to call "Merry Chris." (Not to be confused with my favorite self proclaimed holiday "Marry Chirs," which happens to be on the 28th of December.) Merry Chris is a day to renew the festive spirit of Christmas and, more importantly, an opportunity to brush up on one's gingerbread house building skills...some of us need it more than others as you may see from my "artistic endeavor."

Welcome to The Crib!

Hallie has quickly out grown the cradle, lucky for us, cousin Tristan got his new bed the other day so Hallie is borrowing his crib until we move. She seems to thoroughly enjoy turning over and moving around as she pleases.

Hallie is getting really good at sitting on her own and seems to really enjoy it. She also enjoys sucking on her bottom lip all the time...I think it's a teething thing.

HURRAY! Chris has been accepted for the fall semester at BYU. We were pretty excited to get the news on Monday; Hallie laughed for about 2 minutes straight at Chris' happy dance! We're definitely looking forward to seeing much more of all the Utah cousins, and being close to Caitlin & Grant, as well as seeing what kinds of opportuinties arise for us. It will be an exciting new adventure, despite my serious dislike for moving!

First Trip To Waterton!

Last Monday we took Hallie on her first Waterton excursion. Almost all the trails are still snowy, so we walked around Cameron Falls, and enjoyed the town site instead of going on a hike. It was a beautiful day with lots of sunshine a warm weather in spite of all the snow!
