Chris reading Hallie a bedtime story...I believe it was "Baby Costumes," trying to decide what she will be for Halloween. Actually, she just gets über excited to see babies! Hallie has recently been "reading" books by herself by pointing at things (like we do when reading together) and whispering "tah tah." Grown-up girl all ready for church!
The flower clip made it through the first hour, which I was very impressed with!

Hallie Joy: The Musical!
We love music. Hallie seems to be enthralled by it. She very much likes to hum along when I sing lullabies (if she's not too sleepy) and has been exploring the guitar and piano as well. I'm sure as soon as she figures out how to blow into her daddy's recorder instead of just slobber on it, she will master that instrument too!
She's really quite funny to watch as she will stand there picking at all the strings for quite some time, occasionally humming along with whatever she's playing. I'm sure she'll be writing hits before long...

Put your finger tips together...
Hallie tries to sign "more" while she's eating, she mostly just claps her hands, but she's managed to get her fingers together for it a couple of times.
Food! Glorious Food!
Hallie like her food. She just got a high chair so she can now sit up to the table with us, but she likes it just as well in sitting a box...or with a fox, in a house, or with a mouse...
Chris was giving Hallie her first tastes of smoothie and she just about had a tantrum when she couldn't have more, which is saying something, because she rarely gets upset!
Fun-in-a-Box
I've started packing some books and various things in preparation for moving. Hallie is a good helper. She sat quite happily in this box for some time, while I cleared the bookshelf. I've got a lot of good memories of playing with cardboard boxes, making forts, spaceships, pianos, bubble factories, etc. I'm sure Hallie with come to enjoy them as much as I did as a kid!
It's Quilt'n Time
So I like to quilt. I didn't think I would, but the Magrath 6th ward ladies taught me how and it's great! This is one that I did for my nephew, Brigham Baril, and quite honestly it took a long time so I wanted to show it off, despite the rough edging...the red corners were supposed to look like stop signs...)

We Wish You a Merry Chris, And A Happy July 1st!
Christopher and some friends from high school used to celebrate the 25th of June as the half way point to Christmas, a holiday which they liked to call "Merry Chris." (Not to be confused with my favorite self proclaimed holiday "Marry Chirs," which happens to be on the 28th of December.) Merry Chris is a day to renew the festive spirit of Christmas and, more importantly, an opportunity to brush up on one's gingerbread house building skills...some of us need it more than others as you may see from my "artistic endeavor."

Yoohooo It's Picture Time!
Well, I finally convinced Chris to go and get pictures taken! The results will be posted soon, in the mean you can see a couple on our photographer's blog. http://jillalston.blogsome.com/
She did a marvelous job...but with such a great subject, ie Hallie, how could she not!

...Hip-Hurray for moving...
HURRAY! Chris has been accepted for the fall semester at BYU. We were pretty excited to get the news on Monday; Hallie laughed for about 2 minutes straight at Chris' happy dance! We're definitely looking forward to seeing much more of all the Utah cousins, and being close to Caitlin & Grant, as well as seeing what kinds of opportuinties arise for us. It will be an exciting new adventure, despite my serious dislike for moving!

A Killer Starfish
Hallie enjoys chewing on her fingers and toes these days, but before she really managed to get them to her mouth every time she would get her hand "stuck" to her face. She'd try and get a thumb, but would freak out because she couldn't get this "thing" off her face. It often made me think of what a vicious starfish attack would be like!

Another One!
The Bissett family has now joined the billions of blissful bloggers so that you can become bedazzled by all the bamboozeling balderdash happening in the Bissett barracks (much of which will be devoted to Hallie, as she seems to be our main attraction)!
